One of my very favorite records of the year is by Father John Misty called I Love You, Honeybear. There isn't a bad song on this album. It's very melancholy but not boring, serious but not too serious as the lyrics have a sense of humour too them. It's folky with strings, orchestra, and rock n' roll. The album has a bit of everything, and gets better with repeated listens. A classic.
